Matt Akhavan

General Manager, Florida Mayhem

Matt currently serves as the general manager for the Florida Mayhem, a professional Overwatch League team. He previously managed team Envyus in the LCS and the Misfits CS:GO Team. Matt earned his degree in Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine in 2018.

Kevin Hoang

Account Manager, Twitch

Kevin currently works on the Twitch Student program and has dedicated himself to creating gaming and esports opportunities for students and universities around the world. Prior to Twitch, Kevin founded the Washington Gaming Association at University of Washington and analyst at Team SoloMid.

Brandi Moy

Graphic Design Intern, HyperX

Brandi Moy is a 3rd year attending the University of California, Irvine. Since her freshman year she has been immersing herself into the gaming and esports communities on campus. Today, she is working as the acting co-president of the Association of Gamers at UCI, a Hearthstone Tournament Admin for Tespa, and a creative design intern at Kingston/HyperX.

Jonathan Solis

Social Media, UCI Esports and NASEF

Jonathan Solis is a 4th year Computer Science and Engineering major at UCI. He is also the UCI Esports Social Media intern and helps manage the NASEF discord. In his free time he loves playing video games and watching anime with his friends!

Derrick Truong

Former Chief Strategy Officer, NRG Esports

Derrick is a former professional Counter-Strike player for 8 years. He earned his Business and Marketing degree at Cal Poly Pomona. After graduating, he went on to build the esports division at iBUYPOWER. He was previously the Vice President of Operations at TSM, and most recently the Chief Strategy Officer of NRG Esports. Derrick now serves as an esports consultant with over 15 years of experience, and loves playing volleyball in his spare time.

Marc Urbino

Videographer/Editor, 100 Thieves

Marc currently oversees the 100 Thieves Call of Duty series. He started in esports in late 2016, working for teams like Dignitas, Tempo Storm and Team Liquid. Marc earned his Business Economics degree at the University of California, Irvine in 2016. As an undergraduate, Marc was under the mentorship of Mark Deppe, who introduced him to the esports industry during his time at UCI.

Sabrina Wong

League of Legends Team Manager, 100 Thieves

Sabrina is currently the 100 Thieves League of Legends manager, handling both the esports operations & marketing for both the LCS and Academy teams. Her position consists of maintaining communications with Riot Games, supporting the players in and out of the game, and ensuring that the teams have all they need to succeed at their disposal. Previously, she was the events manager at the Los Angeles Valiant/Immortals, as well as an esports intern at Blizzard Entertainment.

Jeff Yabumoto

Writer, Akshon Esports

Author of several published short stories and editor for multiple short story anthologies, Jeff has a passion for writing. He started by turning his hobby of watching Korean StarCraft matches into a job of writing tournament summaries. Fast forward to a few years later, he’s writing for multiple publications doing postgame interviews, opinion pieces, and the personal stories of esports. One day he aspires to run a prominent esports organization.
