HyperX, leading manufacturer of gaming peripherals, supports North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) with equipment for all participating high schools

(Orange County, CA – October 18, 2018) – As the North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) continues its growth across the continent, industry leaders are enthusiastically supportive of its mission to leverage esports as a means to connect students’ love of gaming with learning. To that end, HyperX has just contributed thousands of gaming headsets for use by every NASEF member Club and team.

Featuring best-in-class components that deliver superior performance, quality and aesthetic design, HyperX products are the choice of top-rated gamers and tech enthusiasts worldwide. Many high schools have computer systems that can be used for NASEF’s tournaments, but they lack the high-end peripherals needed for an elite gaming experience. HyperX’s generous support will equip every competing NASEF team with top-quality headsets, as well as providing additional gear for tournament prizing and new teams that activate in the coming year.

“NASEF is unique because students are encouraged to pursue their love of gaming while learning and applying marketable working-world skills in their Clubs and teams. We are proud to stand behind NASEF and equip its players with top-notch HyperX gear,” said Mark Leathem, vice president at HyperX.

“Quality gear is an important factor for high level competition,” said Mark Deppe, commissioner of NASEF and director of UCI Esports’ championship collegiate program. “Our high school esports competitors will be thrilled to be able to use HyperX headsets as they practice and play.”

This fall, teams from across the U.S. and Canada will compete in NASEF’s showcase Overwatch tournament, as well as “Extra Credit” mini-tournaments in Hearthstone, Fortnite, and Overwatch 1v1. NASEF underscores the importance of all roles in the esports environment by creating Clubs that incorporate a full range of relevant skills in addition to those of the competing players. This allows teens to be connected to a student community in an environment they love, while developing core talents that are sought by a range of employers.
