Introducing the Ducks NHL 19 Beyond the Game Challenges, where ALL NASEF students in clubs across the United States and Canada can tap into their talent apart from their competitive teams. Here, students with interests in the different sectors of the Esports Ecosystem can learn new skills, expand their knowledge, and gain real experience in potential future career opportunities and compete for prizes sponsored by the Anaheim Ducks Foundation!

Ducks NHL 19 Beyond the Game Challenges are being hosted in conjunction with the Ducks NHL 19 High School Scholastic Tournament. NASEF and the Anaheim Ducks Foundation are offering all participating NASEF club members the opportunity to win prizes in scholarships of $1,000 for their own education after high school.

We want to see your passion for esports AND hockey come alive!  Use your creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to take on one or more challenges.

High school students can compete in the Ducks NHL 19 Beyond the Game Challenges to win the following prizes in scholarships:

  • $1000 Prize:  1st Place in Analyzing the Face-Off! Create the Best Team for the Ducks NHL 19 High School Scholastic Tournament

All prizes for the Ducks NHL 19 Beyond the Game Challenges will paid in scholarships that may be used for education-related expenses including tuition, required fees and supplies. Students must plan to enroll in undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school immediately following high school completion. Scholarships will be administered and dispersed by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc.

Eligibility

  • All student who apply must:
    • Be an active member of a Club activated in the North America Scholastic Esports Federation in the United States or Canada.
      • Active Member for a student denotes completion of student and parent/guardian forms and student has met eligibility requirements. See Student Eligibility for more information.
      • Active Club denotes complete activation with the North America Scholastic Esports Federation. See Getting Started for more information.

Submit all entries and their accompanying materials at https://www.esportsfed.org/nhl19/btg  by Friday, March 15, 2019 by 5:00pm PT|6:00pm MT|7:00pm CT|8:00pm ET.

GUIDELINES

  • Students are required to identify their participating high school or community-based organization with activated club status with NASEF.
  • Students are required to identify their club general manager name and email.
  • Students must create their own original content (Example: video, flyer, logo, blog post, analysis, etc.).
    • No inappropriate subject matter will be accepted.
  • Students can apply for more than one challenge.
  • Students can submit more than one entry per challenge.
  • All entries must be submitted by online at www.esportsfed.org.
  • For all student winners residing in Southern California, NASEF will invite them to attend the NHL 19 High School Scholastic Tournament Live Event scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 (location TBD).
  • Students are also encouraged to post their submissions via social media. Using Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, tag NASEF in your Ducks NHL 19 Beyond the Game Challenges directly, or use the hashtag #esportsBTG!

SELECTION CRITERIA

Selection is based on submission plus responses to the prompts. The selection team will be comprised of representatives from the North America Scholastic Esports Federation, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Anaheim Ducks Foundation.
